Presented at the Rice Field Music Festival, a collaboration between Bright Agriculture Development Group and Shanghai Conservatory of Music, Mudanhan brings expressive singing to an open-air stage. The multimedia visuals use a red-and-gold palette, drawing on floral motifs and geometric forms. Blossoming petals, layered rings and streams of light unfold across the stage backdrop. The imagery shifts between recognisable ornament and abstract movement. Symmetrical patterns establish a visual centre, while rotating and expanding forms suggest rhythm. Gathering and dispersing particles extend the emotion of the performance, bringing traditional motifs into a contemporary stage setting amid the harvest landscape.
